Sex Trafficking Allegations Against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy

The Filipino Pastor Apollo Quiboloy is under investigations by both the United States F.B.I. and the Philippine Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality for allegations against Quiboloy. The allegations include sexual assault and sex trafficking, as well as forcing church members to solicit donations for a bogus charity, donations that actually were used to finance church operations and the lavish lifestyles of Pastor Quiboloy.

Quiboloy has been the pastor and a political ally of Rodrigo Duterte since Duterte's time as Mayor of Davao. Quiboloy's television and radio company, Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI), got a 25 year renewal of its franchise by Duterte's supporters in the Philippine congress to use the Philippines' public air waves while at the same time the same congress denied the franchise to the nation’s preeminent broadcast network, ABS-CBN.
